How to get files from your clients, without chasing attachments

One link to send your clients to collect photos, videos and documents, even large ones, with an alert when they arrive. Here’s how Request files works.

Photos for a catalog, videos for a campaign, documents for a case file: anyone who works with clients spends hours asking for files, replying to emails with attachments that are too big and piecing together versions scattered across chats and inboxes. There’s a tidier way: a request link, the same for everyone, that gathers all the files in one place.

The trouble with “just email it to me”

  • Attachments over 20–25 MB get rejected, and your client has to find an alternative on their own.
  • Files arrive in bits and pieces, across different messages, and working out what’s missing takes time.
  • You don’t know the material has arrived until you check your inbox.

How Request files works

Request files is a DIGO Express Pro and Enterprise feature. You create a request, send the link and the files land in your dashboard, with an email alert for every upload. In four steps:

  1. Create the requestIn your dashboard, under Request files, write what you need (for example “Photos for the 2027 catalog”) and, if you like, a message with instructions and a deadline.
  2. Send the link to your clientCopy the request link and send it however you prefer: email, WhatsApp, your business software. Your client doesn’t need to sign up.
  3. Your client uploads the filesThey open the link, drag in files or folders and confirm their email with a code. The page shows your brand, not ours.
  4. Get notifiedYou get an email for every upload, and the files stay in your dashboard for 30 days, ready to download one by one or as a .zip.

Use cases

  • Agencies and design studios: logos, product photos and copy for websites, catalogs and campaigns.
  • Photographers and videographers: client footage before editing, or selections to approve.
  • Events: photos and videos from attendees, collected with a single link.
  • Professional firms: heavy documents that won’t fit in an email.

Tips to get everything right the first time

  • A precise title (“Product photos, white background, at least 3000 px”) saves rounds of back-and-forth emails.
  • Write instructions in the message: formats, file names, deadline.
  • Give the request a deadline and close it once you have everything, so no late files come in.
  • Use your brand: your client instantly recognizes who’s asking for the files.

Frequently asked questions

Does my client need to create an account?

No. The link is all they need: they confirm their email with a code and upload the files.

How large can the files I receive be?

Your plan’s limits apply: up to 2 TB per upload with Pro, unlimited with Enterprise.

Can I close a request?

Yes, from your dashboard, at any time: the link stops accepting files and the ones already received stay where they are.

Can I use my own logo?

Yes. The upload page uses your custom download page, with your logo, color and background.
